The work is in excellent, all-original condition. There is some craquelure in the paint in various areas where the artist painted "wet on wet". This technique was popular in the 1940s and 50s post-war period, with artists sometimes not allowing the previously applied layer of paint to fully dry before adding an additional layer(s).
