This work has been examined first-hand by Breck authority Dr. Jeffrey Brown, and will be included in the artist's forthcoming Catalogue Raisonné. According to Dr. Brown, the subject of this work is very likely the village of Auburndale, Massachusetts, which is twelve miles west of Boston.

Breck Exhibition

John Leslie Breck: American Impressionist exhibition at the Mint Museum in North Carolina through the beginning of 2022 and traveling thereafter. The show features a recent Breck acquisition by the Mint, as well as many other works by the artist.
