Skip to contentEmily Sartor’s paintings are both precise and lush, often hinting at a romantic disaster. Using exaggerated color and dramatic paint handling, Sartor creates a world where experiences are slowed, heightened, and the ordinary is transformed into an emotional and physical experience. The narratives in the paintings are sometimes epic, sometimes subtle and introspective- often using the natural world as a backdrop (or in the case of Paradise Estates the foreground) for stories and manners of our contemporary life.
